  24.           This is the SHAREWARE Registration information for some P.C
  25.           Softsmith software.  This information is subject to change
  26.           without notice in future distributions.  When you register
  27.           please clearly state what you want and mark what you are
  28.           registering.  One choice is to simply add your name and
  29.           address to this, edit it, and print it, circle or highlight
  30.           the correct selection, then mail the results.  You can do the
  31.           same with email and some cutting and pasting.  Written
  32.           comments and suggestions will always be gratefully accepted.

  34.           We normally do not ship hard copy manuals. Registered users
  35.           can ask for the most up-to-date version of Hands On, and can
  36.           receive it and more technical information.

  38.           We are normally shipping a local and restricted distribution
  39.           version with more advanced features than normal registered or
  40.           non registered version.  You can ask for a copy when you
  41.           register.  As an aging indicator, any version on the ASP CDROM
  42.           is likely two or three months behind our current distribution
  43.           and vendor or BBS lag may add another month.  The
  44.           Ziff-Davis/PBS time lag also seems to be 3 or 4 months.  The
  45.           history section in README.TXT roughly shows the Hands On
  46.           upgrade frequency.

  48.           You have to communicate your needs with us, not a disk vendor
  49.           or other agency.  Yes, if you register and you ask we will
  50.           ensure that you get the latest version.  Its quite possible
  51.           for you to register with someone else, and find later that we
  52.           have never heard of you (everybody can goof).

  54.           The registration amounts are for U.S. Dollars, or Canadian

  92.           The WorkGroup variant encourages a scattered group to work

  94.           common task is NOT just 'normal business', and that there will
  95.           be instances where sub-groups work together without a common
  96.           site.

  121.           simpler and cheaper.  For example, the current release does
  122.           not include host keyboard locking or a modem database.

  137.           tailor this product or other tools to meet a variety of
  138.           needs.  One example is a simple one or two phone line BBS for
  139.           specific uses.

  179.           through us;  the two procedures are separate.  We can discuss
  180.           upgrades, timing, and so on, with you but the PsL people

  192.           You can use Compuserve to register.  Hands On is registered as
  193.           #4509, and you "GO SWREG" to go through the registration
  194.           process.  It can take a month or so for us to learn that you
  195.           have registered.  Send us email about the registration, and
  196.           ask for any 'extras' that you want.
